The Chins who have their Wings

While no one else can truly understand the special bond you shared, we know it is never easy to say goodbye.

Our thoughts are with you in this time of lost.

<:January 29,2003--August 15,2006:>

ChaCha was my very first chinchilla. she was the reason i fell in love with chins the way i did. i miss her so very much. SHe was able to givew me three healthy babies. the fourth pregnancy cost her, her life. she got a uterus infection and the infection spred to her brain. she then had a stroke and had to be put to sleep. that was the hardest choice i ever made.i was able to say my good-byes and took her home to bury her next to her buddy Char.

<:unknown - June 1, 2006:>
Charokee died for no apparent reason today.  I dont know why all i know is she is going to be missed alot, not only by me but by all the other chins in the cage, they were all cuddling with her when i found her.  I had to physically move ChaCha away from her, which was hard for me to do.  ChaCha  and Char were best of friends.  They were always together.  It going to be weird not to have her and ChaCha both greeting me when i walk into my room.. She would have been a good mom, too, if only she was given the chance.  She did a great job with baby X & W.

<: May 6,2006 - May 6,2006 :>
Char and Chico had another baby. dont know if it was a boy or a girl it was very tiny still.  i found her sitting in her hammock not allowing anyone to get in to it with her, when i went to pet her N i saw blood all in the hammock and on her so i pushed her out and there was a tiny little body about an inch and a half long, just tiny.  im am starting to wonder if she can be bred anymore im going to give her one more chance bacause she loves the babies so much, but if she cant be bred she will have a friend to live with.

<:September 11, 2004--March 27, 2007:>

Zoe was my first baby. her mama was ChaCha. She learned how to be the best mom from ChaCha. and she gave me three beautiful babies before i had to make the choice to have her put to sleep due to GI Stasis. That is all the necrospy showed. we dont have any answers on what caused her to stop eating...

<:Chynna:>

<:June 24, 2003- September 17, 2004:>
Chynna was my 3rd chinchilla....sad to say my favorite unfortantly she had a birth defect which caused her to stay smaller than normal and not get enough nutition from her food.  I spent 2 months trying to get her better.  Force feeding and anti-biotics, evenually the force feeding became easy...she would lick it off the tube.  I did everything i could for her, i still owe my mom money for the vet visits but it was worth it to have you around for another couple months...
